17 February 2023 marked the beginning of a new chapter for International School Education in India when Shrewsbury School, UK and Jagran Social Welfare Society India signed an agreement to establish Shrewsbury International School India.

    Opening in July 2025 as a co-educational boarding for students aged 11 to 18, Shrewsbury International School India brings the same ethos and philosophy of the 471 years of rich heritage and academic reputation of Shrewsbury School, UK, for the first time in India.

    Located in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, Shrewsbury International School India will be developed at a 150 acres vast area with state-of-the-art infrastructure comprising academic, residential, sports, performing and visual arts along with other extra co-curricular facilities. The school will offer education based on the National Curriculum for England and prepare them for Cambridge International IGCSE.
